If you’re currently on Active Duty as an Enlisted Soldier and you want to earn your Officers Commission, the Green-to-Gold Program is the place to start. Green-to-Gold applicants applying to Duke should apply Early Decision to get an admissions decision prior to the deadline for the Green-to-Gold packet.

Army Reserve and National Guard
Those Soldiers in the National Guard and Army Reserve who are full-time students at NCCU or Duke are encouraged to contact us about signing up for AROTC. Through AROTC, you may have the opportunity to serve in the Active Army as an Officer, an opportunity not normally available to National Guard or Army Reserve Soldiers. Once you are a contracted Cadet you will become part of the Simultaneous Membership Program and will draw E5 pay during your monthly and annual training in addition to any Federal/State Tuition Assistance and GI Bill benefits you’re entitled to.
